Frequently Asked Questions

What standards are the conductors manufactured to?
All conductors are Class 5 according to EN 60228 and consist of tinned single wires to ensure high conductivity and corrosion resistance.
Are the PV cables halogen-free?
Yes, both the insulation and the outer sheath are made from high-quality halogen-free materials, making them suitable for environments with strict fire safety requirements.
What is the maximum operating temperature for these cables?
The cables are tested for high-temperature pressure at 140°C and thermal endurance at 120°C, with specific conversion factors provided for ambient temperatures up to 110°C.
How do you ensure the UV and weather resistance of the cables?
The cables undergo rigorous UV-resistance testing (HD 605/A1) for 720 hours and ozone resistance testing (EN 50396) to ensure long-term durability in outdoor environments.
Do the cables resist chemical exposure?
Yes, our PV cables are tested for resistance against acid and alkaline solutions, maintaining tensile strength and elongation even after chemical stress.
What diameter sizes are available for these PV cables?
Preferred diameters include 2.5mm², 4mm², 6mm², 10mm², and 16mm², though the carrying capacity charts provide data for sizes ranging from 1.5mm² up to 35mm².
